Proven DR methods are to do an offsite backup in a remote data centre. If you are in India then consider backing in US. So you have 100% disaster recovery. Depending upon your data size and applications you could consider Storage VPS solutions. This would be cost efficient for SME business.

Arrow Recommendation

I would recommend getting a dedicated server from hetzner or OVH as these are cheaper than US dedicated servers.

Then you can setup ZOL (ZFS on Linux) storage and use compression to increase your backup space.

Then do an rsync at least each week from your live server to the backup server. With rsync make sure you enable the "-z" option so that all data is compressed before being sent over the network, to reduce bandwidth.

Cloud disaster recovery (cloud DR) is a backup and restore strategy that involves storing and maintaining copies of electronic records in a cloud computing environment as a security measure. The goal of cloud DR is to provide an organization with a way to recover data and/or implement failover in the event of a man-made or natural catastrophe.

There are many companies out there who offers the software and storage for DR now days so there is no need to search for a Dedicated server or VPS provider and then search for a software to use. We provide both the storage and software to be used for DR on clients and server installations.
