Default Design & PM

Construction isn't the challenge. There are big and small contractors capably of doing the work in most major cities. The bigger challange is getting the right A&E design firm. One that has not only designed facilities before but one that has spent a lot of time in data centers working to resolve issues, managing preventative maintenance programs, managed hot upgrades, etc so that they really understand what goes on in a data center on a day to day basis.

There aren't that many A&E firms that can honestly say that they have lived in a data center as most IT people do on a routine basis.

"On Paper" experience alone just isn't enough for superior results.

I build or expand or renovate 2-3 data centers a year - In the mid west I use Mortenson out of Brookfield Wisconsin. They have other locations as well.

You should check out www.lampertz.com - A room-in-room turnkey solution, certified and testet in terms of fire, water etc. They can also deliver container solutions.
