Equipment like APC and most switches use crosscables but Foundry is one of the rare vendors that requere a straight cable. This 'joke' costsed me a full day once to find out :S

Always be prepared and carry all possible console cable combinations. There is also some OEM'd foundry gear that takes differnt cables, different pin out from the normal gear; EG. BI4k - MG8

Default Foundry to Cyclades

I am trying to connect a Foundry BigIron serial to a Cyclades through RJ45. I looked at the pinpouts listed in the previous threads. Typically I use a different pinout and a rollover cable for NetApp gear. Does anyone have any suggestions on what pinouts and cable I need?

Thanks,
Jay
