Default Increasing capacity

We are increasing our capacity on a regular basis => twice a year we buy new servers; they partially replace old servers and partially increase the capacity. In the end, there is a three years-cycle for exchanging our servers.

How often do you get new servers that not only replace old servers but increase the number of servers in your DC? Or do you just order new servers when you want to replace the old ones? Would be cool to compare!
