Default How to build Clustering server?

Hi All,

When we go for clustering solution, do we need to keep both servers in same datacenter or better to keep it in another datacenter? Also, is there any clustering software for linux? I believe only veritas is providing now. If there is any free software, please let me know.

Depends on the cluster solution you go for - I use MS clustering for Exchange servers & file servers. They need to be in the same datacentre really, as there is a crossover heartbeat between them to help with failover.

That does not have to be the case, you could run fibre between building to act as your heartbeat. But as rule yes same DC
