Default motorized breakers in MBP?

I operate some UPSes with maintenance bypass panels; in some cases, there are kirk-key interlocks which prevent operation without the UPS in bypass; and which prevent flipping the breakers out of order. In other cases, there are no safeties, just a 4-breaker panel.

I am reviewing a proposal for a new UPS cluster which uses motorized breakers and a logic board in the MBP. It offers push-button operation, and protects against some possible problems (e.g. utility backfeed). But it costs more (e.g. $50k for motorized & logic, versus $40k for kirk-key, 2000A MBP), and I am wondering if this is one place where "simpler is better".
