Our office is using the Netgear WPNT834 RangeMax 240, and it works just fine.

I used hardware router from Cisco, it seems quite expensive but its worth the price.

I have a wireless router. It is a generic brand, which I actually ended up getting free after a rebate. I've had it for about 5 years, and it still works great!

I really advocate the Airport Extreme still if you don't have ANY Apple substance - it just seems to be the greatest router with minimal setup.
