Thank you for your post.
Well appreciated. I’m currently reading this as recommended by my friend who recently passed his CCNA training with Firebrand Training –lucky hey! Ever man has got to do it on his own though.
• Mike Meyers - CompTIA Network+ Certification Passport (3rd ed.) ISBN: 9780071615303
I’m planning to take the free CCNA practise test before I even attend any actual training. I heard about people who failed their exams and it does sound good to be sympathetic. Fortunately, I’m now bale to demonstrate adequate knowledge of these topics and more:-
Operation of Data Networks
• Purpose and functions of network devices
• OSI and TCP/IP models
Layer 2 LAN technologies
• Network segmentation and traffic management
• Basic switch and operation of Cisco switches
• Implement basic switch security
• Basic router concepts
• Operation of Cisco routers
Implementing an IP addressing scheme
• Assignment of valid IP addresses in a network
• Introduction to NAT
• Introduction to DNS
• Private & Public addressing
• Using Cisco SDM for DHCP and DNS (this section was quite tough!)
By the way if anyone in here is interested in the free CCNA practise I mentioned you can follow up on this resource:-
CCNA exam certification. But the best advice I can give is to visit the right forums (Data Centre Talk), seek the right advice, be confident (you are the best), aim high, sky is the limit, no seriously, be real and believe in yourself that you can become the ultimate Networker!!!
