Default New Ransomware Virus .vvv file extension

Recently there's been a wave of new ransomware virus attacks on company servers and home based user. The new attack locks and encrypts your files with a .vvv extension. Certain people have been hit with this new string of ransomware viruses when their flash player update. Companies have found this has happened when an end user has tried to access a website infected with this virus.

Currently, all data centers need to backup their data daily. A new program has been written to decrypt these files. The new decryption key is no longer stored on your server or hard drive. Therefore, if your files are locked it's important to have the most recent backup of your files to restore your data. Otherwise, your company could suffer a major downtime. It takes time to find the right codes to use in decrypting the files.

I'm no that updated with computer viruses but in my laptop hard drive a folder labeled "Recycler" is always present. I tried deleting it but to no avail. Is that a virus or what?
