Default Power distribution Design

I was promoted to datacenter design group and my part is to provide input for power distribution unit. What is the best place to stat to start?. I was looking at some of the APC products and it seemer to ver very relaible and seen some good reviews on it. They have Stationary PDUs, Rack PDUs and Rack Automatic Transfer Switches. What I am wondering is what is the suitable products to mange 5-6 racks.

Thank You
Steve

My suggestion is that you look at a stand alone PDU/UPS unit such as a MGE or Liebert or Powerware. You can scale it to meet any of your needs and don't lose valuable rack space. You can pick up used 20KVA to 40KVA units for 5-10K.
