Default Data Center location

What would be the ideal location to choose for a data center? I figured that it wont be a good idea to place it somewhere hot because of the heat created from the facility. Any other suggestions?

The heat of the equipments can be reduced slightly if you choose a location for the data center which is naturally cold. Facebook has its data center on Prineville, Oregon. The place is very dry and it’s very easy to cool down all the hardware. If you choose place which is close to Pacific Northwest then it will be much easier to control cooling system.
All dry places aren’t always cooler than other hot places. The method actually depends on humidity, not the heat. So, choosing a location matches these terms can be a suitable for any data center.

Air circulation is very important for your data center. You have probably experienced how your PC or laptop reacts when the airway is restricted. That's another reason they have built-in fans.

You're right the air circulation in and around the building is important. The more air that is circulated insider the facility the easier it will be to keep the equipment cool.

Default Data Center location

If you are looking for a location for building a data center properly, you must consider taking the services of any well-known data center organization. The data center experts of any reputable data center agency are well-aware of which place would be perfect for building a data center. The services of this organization are quite notable regarding this aspect. I took their services to get a place for establishing a data center and really became highly satisfied.

Default Datacenter Location

If building a new one or renting place in a existing one you could save a lot of money if you look at Datacenters located with a low energy price and cold weather so they can benefit from the outside cold to keep the temperature down. Not sure if US can compete with the northern countries in Europe now days when it comes to costs of running or renting within a DC.
