Datacenter Staffs Question

After we send server to colocation what are the steps datacenters staffs do. Can any staff or Owners can give list of steps you do.

Depends on who you choose.

Not many colocation companies do much of anything except racking the server and assigning an IP to the server to get you up.

Everything else after that, is all up to you. Also, everything else costs extra. If you need support it costs $100+/hour or more, etc.


HOWEVER< with a host like ourselves, we include FULL remote hands with colocation - which means ANYTHING which you need done which requires physical access:

Reboots, OS (re)installs, hardware swapping, basic server reviving(IE: server wont boot, we try and fix), KVMoIP, etc etc.

We also have the option to purchase FULL server administration, which takes care of EVERYTHING. The ONLY thing you do is watch over your website(s). We proactively update, and administer everything, down to the last website script.

How many IPs most of the datacenters give for free. How many do you give?

What will they be used for? and how many do you need?

How soon are you looking at colocating?

Well, we only need 15 - 20, may be needed when they need for SSL.
