Here is my thought.

You can put 2 Operators in the morning.

Since you have 16 hours left with 3 operators. You can come with some solution to cover up weekends and off day.

Just my 2 cents.

If one is sick, the others will be happy to pick up the slack most likely.

If you're providing dedicated servers your at least 4 guys too short to properly support the clients.

Is this a puzzle?

You can do 6 guys, rotating 8 hour shifts 3 days on, two days off, two days on, 3 days off. One set of three on 1 rotation and the other set of 3 on the other. This gives you coverage and a 5 day work week but doesn't allow much flexability. Your other option is to have a couple guys on an 8 hour shift and a couple on a 12 hour shift so there's some over lapping durring critical times.

Why? What if he only has 5 servers? Then he'd be a couple guys over staffed.
