Default Cooler Construction

are datacenters built with heatsinks on the roof just to help in cooling? is it a good thing, does it help?

heatsinks work better when there is a mode to transfer heat from the air or water. so wherever there is good circulation of environmental air, whether it be the roof or the side of the data center, it does not matter
