We have about 200 dedicated servers wich we maintain for clients.
The servers are our property and located in 2 datacenters.

I have them all over. ev1, theplanet, managed.com, Equionox, GNAX.

Never have them in the same for obvious reasons

We indeed don't have that much servers....our core business is colocation so that may explain

If you do colocation then you probably would have your server's in one location.

I can see particuarly why tris has his all around the place though. Can't say I blame him.

No, we do have 2 locations in The Netherlands: Amsterdam and Rotterdam and we offer space in both.
Some clients want to spread there servers over 2 datacenters so we have 'some' servers in each location

I have a dedicated server with savvis, wishing I had it with theplanet.

I imagine savvis hasn't been very good for you corky, or would you just prefer the planet?

I've been down twice this week, they were good all before that until this week, maybe maintenice. I would love to be in the planet, just can't afford it atm.

We colo all of our servers but one with dednow as a offsite server just if something should happen.

Its the old don't put al your egg's in one basket thing. Has anyone ever known of anything happening to cause to loss to some dedi's at one dc?
