Default standards for data center building

are there any standards for building a data center that one has to adhere to? What is LEED all about? are the standards tier specific or location specific?

Lots of data center standards info in the Data Center Talk Library: http://www.datacentertalk.com/2011/12/dct-library/

Information about Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leaders...nmental_Design
