Default Fireproofing with Air Curtains

What is the basic checklist necessary when investing in fireproof air curtains? Is there a reputed brand? Is there a temperature threshold?

Hi Graham
The best advice I can give you is to be concerned about the codes that the products adheres to an not the brand.
The product needs to be Fire retardant/Anti Static
For Fire Retardant properties it needs to comply with NFPA 401-4 (For Plastics).

For its anti static properties there are two standards which are in common use.
ANSI/EIA-541-1988 and ANSI/ESD S541-2003
(Taken From ANSI/ESD S541-2003 7.2.2 Resistance of Dissipative Materials)
A static dissipative material shall have a surface resistance of greater than or equal to 1.0 x 104 Ohms but less than 1.0 x 1011 Ohms, or a volume resistance of greater than or equal to 1.0 x 104 Ohms but less than 1.0 x 1011 Ohms. Packaging materials that are in intimate contact with devices should be dissipative.

If you are looking to source the produce then try any reputable plastics supplier. Tell them the codes that your product must comply with and let them come up with the suggested product and the proof of compliance. prrof should be in the form of a copy of the compliance certificate from an independent test lab and details of the test taken. They should be able to email the results in pdf format to you without much fuss.
The sheets generally come in (Metric) 200 x 2mm , 300 x 3mm , 400 x 4mm etc
We have found 300 x 3mm to be adequate with a 25% overlap at both ends. (Be careful to calculate the additional material needed due to the overlap.) The overlap is necessary only on the plastic sheets and not on the hangers.
