Default What are some of the best tips and trick

What are you best tips and tricks for setting up a data center, and please explain what you did and why you did it that way, and what tips and tricks you used to make it happen.

Plan plan plan.. and then plan some more.

Make sure your business models are fully calculated to ensure sustainability - remember, this is not a light hearted investment and any company worth its salt should have been through quite a large review process from all aspects to ensure that this is the best path for the company to take.

If you only require small areas of space, it will be more than likely more cost effective to approach either a managed services provider or data centre that can offer collocation.

Yeah I think that is why it is taking longer than anticipated. Planning and making sure that I am not missing anything and that all the tools are there, and so one. I know believe me that it is not a light hearted investment, I have put a lot of money into this and if I do not get it working then I will be in trouble (ok not really, but will be out a bit).

I agree with nike, take each step carefully and take into consideration all the possible risks involved. Its a good practice to take suggestions from experienced people when you face difficulty in taking decisions.

1.Proper planning
2.A good location
3.Electricity and backup
