There are too many options:

VPN is good and secure
Team viewer for remote control
Go to my PC app

For personal use most of tools are free. but if want to use in company better to buy one.

Hi,

New to this forum - so Happy New Year!

It depends which kind of remote access you need. For day-to-day work on my physical servers I use software access services like RDP and VNC, whereas I use VMware to access my virtual servers. When one of my servers crashes or if I want remote BIOS level access, I use my favorite KVM over IPs. - So it depends which kind of scenario/need you have....

I mostly work with HP servers and use ILO for remote management and it is really good. I came across another device which connect to all the data center products.

http://minicom.com/kvm-enterprise.htm

I never tried, but looks promise. This way we don't need to remember all the passwords.

@whitten that device looks very interesting! We are currently using some ip kvms from Minicom which are working great, but did not know about this platform.
