Default matrics for efficiency

There are several metrics that can help IT organizations better understand and improve the energy efficiency of their existing datacenters, as well as help them make smarter decisions on new datacenter deployments. I think data center power and cooling are two such metrics.
What other measures do you think are there which affect the efficiency of a DC?
