Hi everyone, as you can tell this is my first post here, so bear with me. I have been emailing sales departements of different providers for the past week, and I figured I would take a shot here.
My company will be purchasing a managed/dedicated hosting plan in the next month or so. Now that I have a "fairly" good idea of what exactly we need, I figured I would post here and hopefully get some leads. We'll be needing lots of
storage,
reliable data backup,
plenty of bandwidth, and of course,
fast downloads for our users. We plan to host video and image content (not ######## if your company has a problem with that). Initially, we "think" we'll need at least 1000GB - 3000GB of bandwidth with reasonable overage rates. We anticipate a steady use, with occasionally very strong spikes in usage.
We hope, within the next 1.5 years, to have a multi server rig with upwards of 4 TB of storage and a 100 Mbps unmetered connection. It is hard to estimate our initial demand, but we don't want to bankrupt ourselves with overage rates, and we don't want to underestimate our requirements. So we are looking for a host who can give us good rates now, be flexible with additions to our service, and allow us to grow so that we can be a high value customer down the road.

-Dual Proc or Dual Core AMD based system preferred
-400+ GB Storage (not including backup)
-Probably 1-2GB RAM
-Reliable backup system. Daily preference. RAID is an option

-As mentioned above, we estimate our initial bandwidth requirements will fall within 1000GB - 3000GB/month... (I know, quite a range).
-Reasonable overage rates
Location
-US Based - Must be able to provide good speeds to North American (primarily US) users.
-Should be in reputable datacenter.
