Default How to ensure you do not

How would you ensure that you do not have a data center outage. I know that there are several things that could cause a data center outage but what measures would you take to ensure that everything in your control is covered.

Easy. Just think of everything that might fail or require maintenance and have a failover scenario for it. Some organizations favor hardening a single site, but most have chosen to commoditize their IT workloads, virtualize their processing, storage and networking, cross-train their staffs and maintain multiple, geographically diverse data centers to minimize outages.

Simple, right?
