Default Routing Protocol

Hi All,

What are the routing protocol mainly use when they designing routers. Is it depend on the application?.

Hello,

You can do routing into two ways, one is static routing and other is dynamic routing. If you are using static routing then they can not use any routing protocol at that time they have used only TCP/IP + IP protocol. But, in the case of dynamic routing, it will use routing protocol like, RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, BGP, and OSPF.

If you are implementing small networking using router then, as per my knowledge static routing will be better for your small network. If you wish to use dynamic routing then, you can use RIP for your small network.
