How much is your budget? Are you trying to build a new datacenter from scratch? Please provide more info and one of our members can get back to you with more info.

Thanks

It's would be a colo facility from the ground up. There are 2 existing warehouses.

Capital is unlimited.

Space is anywhere from 40k to 200kish sq feet.

Go to City Hall in Chicago and look at the blueprints for the Equinix facility. They will have the engineering firm's name on them. That'd be a good start.

I was thinking about that but I'm not sure they would readily make those available to some stranger. I'll find out next week...

Any other recommendations? I have a small list but would like to have more than 5 to begin interviewing.

Just FYI, only the owner of the building can be provided the drawings or a notarized letter from the owner. I don't have a high up contact at E to do that with.

Well, time to shake a different tree and see what falls.

Would anyone like to make a recommendation? I am speaking with a few engineering companies but they are having "issues" covering everything we are looking for.

David...you have any ideas?

Lee Technologies does design, construction and maintenance management for data centers worldwide. Clients include AOL, Switch and Data, Lockheed Martin, Comcast and a wide variety of Federal government projects. They have a number offices throughout North America and corporate offices outside of Washington DC. Chicago would not be any problem for this national firm. Check out their website at www.leetechnologies.com Before you choose an A/E or GC, talk with a Data Center spe############t such as Lee Tech.

Gallant,

Thanks for the recommendation. They do have a guy in Chicago.

They are not an engineering firm though.
