What type of physical layout of a DC you would prefer for a standard organization for effecient and smooth control over its structure.There are some very large DC which may use shipping containers packed with 1,000 or more servers.
It depends on the size of the business. If it's large then use custom made buildings in remote areas, to make sure you're not exposed to security risks. If it's small, well, it's easier.
I have actually seen several large data centers in Europe which were also housed in large containers. I think the most important is that everything is organized well and that technicians and staff can easily reach all points of the data center.
Why does it matter how it is layouted? Isn't one or two rooms more than enough for a small data center? Or am I wrong? Please answer, I'm very curious.
It again depends on the location of your data center and its growth rate. Its not good to invest much when there are less possibilities of future growth of your data center.
