Default Top 7 Tips for Cutting Telecom Spending

Telecom systems support all of a company’s mission critical functions whether it be sales, support centers, or remote workers. It’s no surprise that industry averages* put telecom spend (voice, data, and wireless costs) for small and medium sized companies at just under one percent of total revenue.

I think we sometimes forget how important it is to re-evaluate a service that we have. Sometimes it is easy to just continue with the "old familiar", and just sign on the dotted line for another year. But there are always newer and better services out there. And most times, when you find something better, your "old familiar" company will bend over backwards and give you an even better deal when you try to quit them.

I believe the only way to cut telecom spending is to control your self. Another way which is not much effective is to change telecoms company. I am saying it not effective because charges differences are very minor.

We just did four of those tips mentioned in the article, for our company is doing some cost cutting. We saved a decent amount for our telecom spending by implementing the following tips:

Perform a baseline audit.
Evaluate your telecom contracts.
Automate processes wherever possible.
Consider outsourcing.
