Default $18K GigE - good deal?

I have been offered a GigE out of Seattle for $18k per month - is that a decent deal? Apparently I can get the same in LA / San Jose..

Yes, It all depends on who is the provider and backup connectivity. We need more info to give recommendation.

It is a good deal unless you're talking about Cogent, HE, Williams, Telia, or BtN.

If it's a Level(3) line it is a very good deal!

About the only ones that will provide that type of pricing ARE Cogent, HE, Williams, Telia, BTN, and Yipes.

OF course Cogent is available a lot cheaper then $18 for a gig commit.

Also, there are some companies that are purchasing from some of the above carriers, and reselling a 'blended mix'

and in CA....

Just tell us what you want and we'll email the research to you.

Hope that helps.
