Post Gigabit Switch Recommendation

What do you all recommend / use for a layer 2 switch? Nothing too old but a good mix of value and performance. This will be used primarily for vlans off a distribution switch.

Also recommendations on where to get one would be appreciated

You can give a try to Netgear GSM7248 ( I am assuming you are looking for a 48port switch). This is a entry level low cost alternative and works great. We are not using any in our data center but installed many in our customer's locations that we manage on their premises and works great. Plus comes with full life time warranty.

I'm good with Jumpline It's has 20Gbp/s 6 Ports and everything. Try it.

I recommended Hp switch, layer 5 or cisco.
