Experience With Online Data Back up Companies?
There are a ton of companies that promise to back up your data online in case of crash or another disaster. With my laptop recently stolen I am looking for somebody who can share recommend the best company.

If you refer to this thread you will see that I listed my most trusted online storage/backup services to be the following two (In order of preference):
1. Dropbox - You get the first 2GB free and after that you pay but it is cheap.
2. Egnyte - Costs $29.99/mo but you get a very safe online storage system.
Hope this helps and sorry to hear about your laptop.
Regards,
ford

Thanks Ford. When I have a minute I am going to go look at your link. Price is also important to me so thanks for giving me that information as well.

I am wondering if I can actually do without an external storage/back-up service now that I've been saving everything to "The Cloud". Or is there another reason it would benefit me?

Egnyte is an excellent company, and we have enjoyed working with them for a number of years. I'm not really sure they would be what you are looking for though. Egnyte does have a continuous back-up system for PCs and Mac computers, but the price makes this an expensive proposition, unless you are a supper user.
We use the "Office Local Cloud" which automatically and continually backs up our data from our server. This way we do not have to recover a current days work manually if our servers crash and we lose all our data.

hi,
joining.
im using dropbox since it's reliable and can easily transfer documents plus 2gb is free
dropbox is user friendly and you can choose which folder you can share if you want other to have access on it.
