This is not a Database Administration or Data Modeling role. It is not a system administrator role either.

System and Database Management Architect will oversee the Strategy, Architecture, Solutioning of the Disaster Recovery for Applications and Databases running on open system platforms. General understanding of popular RDMBSs and in depth expertise in one package (Oracle or MSSQL) is expected

The architect is expected to understands hardware, OS, Databases, n-tier components and interactions between all such components

The System and Database Management Architect will be responsible for:
• Studying and Understands Business Needs
• Studying Data Sources/Systems/etc
• Interviewing business users to create and/or understand requirements
• Preparing Requirements and Architecture Mapping Documents
• Communicating Architecture to Business & Management and remainder of the project team
• Participating in strategy sessions
• Advising on new product feasibility & cost for recovery alternatives
• Acting as Enterprise Consultant and Data/Database SME
• Advising on project resources and estimates
• Communicating Architecture to larger project team

The candidate is expected to be able to;
