Default Action on the event of Fire Detection?

I would like to understand if there is a best practice in the operation of Fire Suppression and associated controls within a small Data Centre - 50 racks.

The Data Centre concerned recently experienced an activation of the FM200 based Fire Suppression. The cause is believed to been a fault however it has raised question as to the correct operation.

On activation of the Fire Detection, Power to the UPS, Servers and Storage etc was cut. However the Air Conditioning remained running.

This seemed odd to me. If the servers were off, there was little need for the air conditioning, and if power needs to be cut, it should be to all electrical systems.

Could someone advise - what the common approach would normally be?
For clean systems such as FM200 is it common practice to leave equipment running, which has the benefit of preserving service, but at the risk that the fire (if there is one) may not be extinguished.

It is probably worth mentioning that the Data Centre concerned houses the UPS in the same sealed environment as the Servers etc, so from a Fire Risk perspective, I would assume this presents the biggest potential risk.

Thanks
