Hello everyone,

We are looking at building a co location data center that would be several hundred kilometres from a major city, we are concerned this will mean there is too much latency and therefore the center would not be useful for the usual types of co location activities, therefore we should look to build high density facilities and offer services to companies that don't need low latency.

Can anyone provide any information on how much of an impact latency has on co location and some figures on what is and is not acceptable? Further if there are some example businesses that will utilise a large number of servers but don't need 0.1ms access that be great.

Cheers,

CBTM
