In house on your network LAN there shouldn't be any issues with lag time. The only problems I found once was when a few people were using the network to pass large personal files back and forth.

If you need a server for only thin client I wouldn't go with IBM. Dell is a better choice for your needs. I have 2 dell servers in my data center. I think they are your best choice.

This year my company is moving most of our data to the cloud. They feel this is the way of the future. What bothers me the most, is security. I have no idea how safe all this data is in the cloud....
