We use custom built servers for our customers. All our servers are intel proc with supermicro boards. Custom built servers are suitable for us because it is highly cost efficient and very much customize-able depending upon the requirements. Our servers have been stable for years now.

Going for a branded server with room for customization cost a fortune.

Actually type of server you choose is all depends on your website requirements. You can't stick to one server without knowing to required features.

We use only HP for standardisation purposes and because we have found them to be very stable and configuring raid on the HP servers is so simple. We also only buy rack mountable inorder to save space in our server room.

Which kind of servers are your organisation using and why?

I am using dell server for game.

Think fast food vs. fine dining.
