Data Centers in Asia
We are beginning the process of looking for a data center to service our clients in Asia and the Pacific. We currently have a data center in Europe which services the majority of our clients who are in EU and the US East Coast. We have decided that Australia is too remote, and Hong Kong and Tokyo are too expensive. Can anybody recommend a data center in either South Korea or mainland China?
Thanks |
what price range are you looking at?
I have servers in Europe as well, Asia, Canada and USA... What exactly do you consider expensive? Bandwidth or rackspace or both? Australia, to me is expensive. Mainland has bad latency..I've tried a few datacentres there and it just doesn't work. I was thinking south Korea too..found a few places, but they never answer their emails. I am actually going to try to go through one of my Korean friends..maybe there is a problem with translation. Steve |
Anything more than 20KUSD per month is expensive. This includes rackspace and bandwidth. I peer actually suggested Singapore.

DC in Asia
Singapore has very good DC with major backbone internationally.
Rates are also value for money. Try http://cyberheart.net |
How about for the China market. We have been looking for sometime, but feel it might be to risky with so many rules. Also what City would you suggest?

How about South Korea? More and more opportunities on new infrastructure of highspeed internet are building up there.

Asia Data Centre
Singapore & Hong Kong data centres are good. From a pricing perspective, they are comparable, it is more expensive in korea.
Give me a shout if you need any further recommendation in both Singapore or Hong Kong data centres. |
Hostdime has datacentres in India if you are interested :)

You may try China Beijing, Shezhen,Shanghai etc.
The required Licenses for China need be taken, otherwise the Chinese govt may shut the server down. |
