Server for small office
My friend is setting up a new office and needs suggestion regarding which server to use. Many people are saying that Dell is good for small offices but personally, i am a fan of HP. What are your views about this?

It depends on what your friend's needs are. For instance, if the server load will be light, then all types of low-end servers will do. But if she needs something with more of a punch, then she should choose from high-end ones. Just figure out what she really needs.

I'd go for Dell, they have a history of reliability and good customer service. I've had both Hp's and Dells and I didn't have any issues with any of them, to be honest.

Go for whatever suits the business needs best - and don't get into a vendor war internally.

Dell would be indeed great choice for you. However, if you are well used to HP. That's fine and won't be wrong choice!

I have answered this question many times. Honestly, when it comes to the guts of those servers, they are usually pretty much the same. Either way, HP or Dell, the server will perform for you just fine. The real question is who will provide you with better support for your money. Hardware is all the same nowadays. Customer service is something that not everyone has figured out, for some reason. Go with whom you feel you get better service from.

I also agree with eilert, IBM server provides so many features like best Administration, Development and debugging, it will also provide you Pre-deployment testing, its Storage & data management is best and also good database reorganization

Yeah, but IBM servers do cost lot of money with maintaince and power supply. Though they are best.
