“Software Defined”, is a marketing name of new technological paradigm which is commonly associated with full extraction and separation of operations on data from its underlying hardware layer. Coming from huge advantages that have appeared due consolidation physical workloads to virtual machine infrastructures almost ten years ago, the Software Defined approach can finally breathe new life to rest major resource pools of any data center — storage and networking.
Software Defined Storage (SDS) is a model, which brings keeping data to a new level by completely separating logical storage service from its hardware. Such kind of division empowers consumers to make data portable among commodity hardware, eliminating planned and unplanned downtimes, excludes single points of failure and central element bottlenecks and provides data deduplication, replication, snapshotting and backing up. Software Defined Network (SDN) has, in its turn, similar advantages, aiding efficient data transmission management. SDN decouples control function and switching function from the hardware and lays them into separate uniform layers to achieve significantly easier regulation, agility, programmability, vendor agnosticism and increased speed within corporate and data centers networks.

That is very important for every datacenter.

Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is an emerging architecture that is dynamic, manageable, cost-effective, and adaptable, making it ideal for the high-bandwidth, dynamic nature of today's applications. This architecture decouples the network control and forwarding functions enabling the network control to become directly programmable and the underlying infrastructure to be abstracted for applications and network services. The OpenFlow® protocol is a foundational element for building SDN solutions.

Why you need move your data center to Software Defined paradigm

It has come into sight that it is highly needed to move a data centre in software design paradigm. To acquire a satisfactory assistance regarding this, people must consider taking the services of the professional experts, who have adequate knowledge regarding all such aspects, but before having their services, people must be sure that all such experts are highly skilled about all types of data center services.
