Poweredge 2800 Memory Question
 

Hello,

Can faster ram be used in the dell Poweredege 2800 ?

eg.

Corsair CM72DD2048R-667 2GB Registered PC-5300 DDR2 RAM, 128Mx72 ECC, 240-pin DIMM, 64Mx8 DRAMS, lifetime warranty, Designed in USA
SKU: CM72DD2048R-667

as opposed to the specified

2048MB-400MHz DDR2-400 PC2-3200, 240p DIMM, ECC, Registered, 1.8v

I understand it wouldn't run faster than 400Mhz but its more readily available and cheaper
