GBLX stands for Global Crossing. They are a "Tier 1" provider with abundant access between North and South America.

We have them in the mesh we sell to our clients and have been quite satisfied with their overall performance.

We too carry Global Crossing, however, I would suspect that the absolute best latency is going to be out of Miami, but it could get pricer.

Another suggestion is to do some ping tests to from the various DC's on the east coast, see what DC has an acceptable speed and go from there. See if the $$$'s make sense.
