Troubles with flexibly adjusting cooling to changing conditions in your DC?

Is there a lot of change in your data center? Is your data center expanding, do you often need to reallocate your racks and servers, or is it "just" the workload that alters frequently/extremely? Thus, you would like to flexibly adjust cooling to where and how it is actually needed at any time in order to save energy?

I'm working on an exciting innovation research project, trying to find innovative solutions for reducing the overall energy consumption of data centres. Our goal is to substantially improve the current solutions in order to really bring value to the data center users.

Thus, I would be interested whether there is anybody here that is not satisfied with the current possibilities for flexibly adjusting cooling to changing conditions within the DC. Someone that would highly benefit from better solutions in this area.

I would love to discuss your experiences regarding this topic.

Thanks,
Christian

Apparently, nobody here has got issues with flexibly adjusting cooling to changing conditions in his/her DC. But maybe anyone knows a colleague that faces some problems regarding this topic? I would be grateful for any hints.

Chris
