My name is Vincent Byrne and I am a data centre consultant based in Dublin, London and the Middle East. Following a request from DataCentreTalk I am happy to come on board and add my experience to the mix.
So what do I do for a living?
I carry out a lot of unique data centre consulting and advisary roles for some of the largest global internet and software corporations. One such service is offered uses our specially created a virtual wind/temperature and contaminant test chamber for the analysis analysis to fresh air cooling data centres. .
I am currently working Auditing and Certifying data centres in the Middle East (Saudi, Kuwait, UAE) and designing new facilities for clients in Germany and Russia.
I also work for the Irish Energy Agency in forming their data centre energy efficiency policy and tax offsetting schemes. I am an Uptime Accredied Tier Designer and use this to assist clients in finding suitable colocation and green field sites in Europe.
