Whenever I download little over a hundred meg on my router the connection cuts out and I have unplug the router and plug it back in, anyone know why it would this and how to fix it. Btw my router is an Airway Transport.

Is this wireless router, can you provide the Model Number too.

Yeah wireless router - also airway transport's don't have different model number's as far as I am aware even though other airway hardware does.

I beleive this may be problem with your ISP, have you tried with any other routers, if that works then shuold be problem with your router and you might have to change the router and try it.

No it won't be a problem with the router, my connection goes like this

Computer with internet ..... Wireless Link ..... Router ______ RJ45 Hub ______ Other Computers

I never loose the connection on the computer that us directly connected, also if you look at my original post will notice I unplug the router to get back online.

I find on my dlink sometimes when it has to handle a lot of throughput the speed of the wireless link is reduced, but not to the point when it drops.

Do you have more than one pc with a wireless nic in?

DLINK likes to drop connection yes. I used to have a wired DLink router but got rid of it after 2 weeks. It just likes to cut connection that should stay alive (IRC for example). I don't like DLink ;) Linksys is now what I always buy.

Linksys as far as I can tell is just cheap Cisco so its unlikely to be completely useful. At some point though I can going to have upgrade my wired network hub (non-switching 10mbps!!!!) and my WLAN router.

From reading this, does this mean the problem is the router? Not the wireless link?

If so, have you tried upgrading the routers firmware? In my experience this has solve strange problems like this in the past.

Perhaps he has a different one now, since the problem is 2 years old.
