FDCservers.net is happy to announce this new service to customers who need large amounts of bandwidth for very short term Media/Streaming events.
This service is ideal for companies that require large amount of bandwidth for limited amount of time such as
- sports match events
- live streaming presentations
- webinars
- short term content delivery
- etc
Under normal circumstances such activities get very expansive or impossible since all carriers and datacenters require at least 1 month (usually 1 year) contract and minimum bandwidth commitment. So customers who need to distribute their content only for couple hours or days get stuck by paying for a whole month. Also very often these datacenters don`t give their clients to ability to burst beyond 1Gbps.
FDC with its huge network capacity can now offer inexpensive & viable alternative. We can provide up to 3x10Gbps transit capacity even if only needed it for few hours. The traffic will be billed per transfered GB at $0.09/GB for customers using less than 1Gbps and $0.06/GB for customers using more then 1Gbps.
The Bandwidth used for this service is dedicated tier1 bandwidth
This service can be provisioned
- at Equinix facility in Chicago via cross connect
- by server colocation at our facility
- by server rental at our facility (Q6600 + 4GB RAM + 4x400GB SATA + 1Gbps port $20/day per server)
To provision this offer we require at least 5 business day notice prior to the event
