Hi ,
I am looking for the best product suggestions in EMC, NetApp and Hitachi for a basic entry level storage systems with 4 TB capacity. Kindly suggest the best and cost effective product for the requirement.

What are your goals/objectives with it? Do you have a budget? Do you have specific IOPS needs? Do you have specific feature requirements? What are your uptime requirements?

For only 4TB, you might not want to go with a large "name brand" solution, but maybe look at some of the smaller players.

Do you have any specific SLA for the data stored (or) what would be your exact requirements for the data storage? If you are planning to just backup the data for disaster recovery then the cheapest solution would be to get a dedicated server with 4x 3TB drives and setup RAID on it and then up your data.

If you have any specific goals then you need to choose solutions like Netapp/EMC

I tend to join this advice. It will really help.

My problem with this question is that although I'm willing to answer it, my experience with cheap web hosts have not been entirely favorable, so it is difficult to recommend the cheap ones where I have actually placed sites on.

What good is that account to you when your site is down or the server is overloaded? Research how long the hosting business has been in operation. See if they have recently changed ownership, and if they show positive cash flow.

The best place to search for affordable web site hosting plans is the internet itself.
In this kind of tight spot, it is good to evaluate well the web hosting providers.

You can send an email to a potential web hosting service and judge their customer service, firsthand.
