Let me see now,
I'll be extremely happy if I had a server running;
Dual Opterons
4GB RAM
5 SCSI WD Raptors 73GB (15000 RPM) running on RAID 5 Config.
The rest doesnt matter much to me. :D

Dual proccessors at fastest possible (but reliable) speed, 4 x 120gb hd's, 4gb ram(at least), 1gbps network card and of course a speedy connection.

Maybe something like 5-595 with 64 1.9GHz (http://news.com.com/IBM+readies+new+top-end+Unix+servers/2100-1010_3-5410655.html) ($4.13 million) or Intel Itanium2 Tiger4 (http://www.top500.org/sublist/System.php?id=6762) for home use. :)

A big main-frame would also be nice.

Actually there are servers that go well over 100 GB.
Check these out. http://www.hp.com/products1/servers/integrity/superdome_high_end/specifications.html

Hi Misma,
Do you have any of those servers?
misma

No, we don't have any that big where I work. The 'biggest' Wintel box we have that I admin is probably a quad-Xeon 2 ghz w/ 4 GB RAM. Not sure what some of our bigger HP Unix boxes run hardware-wise.

Do you work for datacenter or is your server colocated in datacenter?.
misma

The place I work at has a datacenter but we don't co-host for people or anything like that. Just have the company's servers in there.

Dual Opteron's (242 at least if not better)
4+ GB RAM
4+ WD 250 GB Raptor SATA drives
RAID 0+1
FreeBSD AMD 64 installed.
I have the server, just not the 250 Raptor's. I have the normal 250 SATA's for now.. :)
Edited to add:
Current server is connected at 1 Gb/s, the dream server would have to be connected at 2 Gb/s since there is two Gb/s NIC's.. :D
