In your opinion, what do you think are the best cooling systems for medium sizes data centers.

I have been doing a research of some cooling systems online but it would be helpful to hear what other people have to say about the cooling systems they use.

"Best" meaning cheapest, most efficient, smallest, quietest, most attractive, greenest, ...?

I mean best in terms of quality, efficiency and costs.

The quality though, is the most important factor. There is no point buying something cheap and then constantly experience problems with it.

I have to say I'm a big fan of the Stulz downflow units - have been rock solid reliable for me so far in the installations I've done.

Also, been using Climaveneta chillers as well, and not had any complaints about them either!

Ya i am agree with Schumie. I am also using Stulz and its gave me good result. Its cost is also competative and easy in use.
So i will prefer to go with Stulz.

We use Climaveneta chillers with frequency modulators for better economic, managed by the liquids temperature. Inside the facility we use APC inrow coolers. With the inrow coolers the air flow is located above the installation floor and since the hot air are sealed in corridors with door and ceiling you have a much better temperature delta and therefore cooling efficiency.

There are numerous ways of setting up a cooling system for your data center. What matters is how much you want to cool, how you'll cool it and how much cash you got :)

Sirplank, looks like you have a really good cooling setup. I've seen the APC inrow coolers in use in a datacenter I visited recently. I'm not sure how much they would cost but they look really good in terms of efficiency and quality.
