Can you please recommend a core router for gigabit drop. We are having a single giabit drop to our datacenter. We need core router to handle this, Can you recommend anything other than juniper m7i?. Do you know any cisco core routers?

Cisco7200/12000 or Foundry BigIron could do the job I think.

Look at something like a used BigIron 4000. Get it with 2 management modules and 2 power supplies then select either 10/100 or gig over copper and you should be all set with lots of room for growth. You can pick them up used for about $8-10K.
