New York City, NY, March 24, 2005 - Privately held NYC Connect LLC (NYCC) announced this week that Mzima Networks Inc., a California-based leading next-generation IP transit provider, has chosen their Meet-Me-Room at 111 Eighth Avenue as its New York City facility.

Mzima Networks is currently providing its performance IP connectivity product in the Los Angeles, San Jose, Chicago, Dallas and Washington, D.C. markets. Encouraging direct private peering with other networks, Mzima built a network to connect all of their cities together. With the addition of NYC Connect, Mzima will be amplifying the efficiency of its nationwide network.

“After launching our global operations in Los Angeles we began looking for a comparable East coast provider,” says Michael Dell’Anno, Mzima’s managing director. “NYC Connect’s optimal NY Metro location, secure infrastructure and service offerings made it an ideal solution for our growing business.”

By choosing NYC Connect, Mzima will be located in one of the most connected buildings in New York City. NYCC’s meet-me-room offers an abundance of carriers, ISPs, and other network service and Enterprise providers to interconnect to within the building, as well as within the NY Metro area. At this location, Mzima will facilitate the expansion to thousands of large, small and medium-sized businesses, which will give them the global presence that will accelerate their suite of services. This move enables Mzima to have a port in a prime environment, with access to all NYC Connect has to offer.

“We are pleased to have been chosen as Mzima’s primary East Coast provider,” added Tesh Durvasula, COO of NYCC. “We are confident that our infrastructure will contribute to Mzima’s goal of providing customer traffic to end users as quickly as possible.”
