Description
As an Intermediate System Administrator, you will work with the existing team to administer network and server infrastructure, as well technical support. In this role you will be expected to:
- Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity.
- Trouble shoot user application problem, performance issues on system & network
- Install, configure & maintain software.
- Perform necessary upgrades to the operating systems, including researching and installing patches, security updates, and service packs
- Perform and manage system backups and recovery.
- Maintain inventory for computer hardware and software licenses.
- Provide support to Developers, DBA, System Analysts, Business Analysts & Project Management group on various Operating Systems and tools, network configuration & system related issue
- Provide day to day system administration on user id management, email accounts, mailing lists, file system creation/change, maintain version release software, etc
- Must be able to clear extensive background check
Monitor and troubleshoot Windows server environment (NT, 2000, 2003)
· Server hardware installation and configuration
· Server clustering
· VMWare
· Exchange 2003/2007
· Blackberry
· SIM & Rapid Deploy
· Citrix
· SMS
· Active Directory and group policy
· Strong ability to document processes and procedures
· Familiarity with SAN technology (HP and/or IBM)
· Remedy experience
· Knowledge of ITIL
· Take part in on-call rotation
· Must be self motivated and be able to work in a team environment
· Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
