If you are going for High quantity you can get better price. If you want to go about 10Mbs, then you might get around $250 per month.

If you are going for 100 Mbs, you can get it for around $1500 per month.

This really depends on your location and what carriers are available to you. A 1Mbps commit is really nothing, so you might find yourself paying quite a lot per Mbps. That's not unreasonable. Your vendor will have a lot of overhead on your account, and not a lot of real deliverable product. $250/Mbps is reasonable. If you were buying 10Mbps I'd try not to pay more than $40/Mbps or so; even that is steep in the U.S. these days.

I agree with Jeff, your best bet is to start with 10 MB and either find a provider who is in your building or go to a major colo facility. 10 MB's at $40 is a great deal is you can find it. Let me know if you want me to put together some numbers.
